Shana Haines is a professor of education at the University of Vermont, known for her research on family-school partnerships and self-determination in inclusive education.[1]

Career

Haines joined the University of Vermont as an assistant professor in the Department of Education in 2013.[2] She was promoted to associate professor in 2019 and to professor in 2024, positions she has held within the same department.[3]

According to Semantic Scholar, Haines has authored 57 papers that have collectively been cited 787 times, giving her an h-index of 15.[4] Her research addresses partnerships between families, schools, and communities in inclusive education settings, as well as the development of self-determination skills in early childhood.[5]
