Anyin Li is a chemist at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, New Hampshire, where he serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry.[1] His research has focused on ambient ionization mass spectrometry, including paper spray ionization, portable mass spectrometers, and triboelectric nanogenerator-based ion sources.[2]

Education

Li received his Ph.D. from the Department of Chemistry at Purdue University, where he studied from 2008 to 2014.[3]

Career

Li joined the University of New Hampshire in 2017 as an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry.[4]

Research

According to Semantic Scholar, Li has published 32 papers that have collectively been cited 1,178 times, giving him an h-index of 17.[5] His most cited work, "Triboelectric nanogenerators for sensitive nano-coulomb molecular mass spectrometry," published in Nature Nanotechnology in 2017, has been cited 263 times.[6] Other frequently cited papers include a 2021 study in Science Advances on a self-powered wireless sensing method using discharge-induced displacement current, cited 106 times, and a 2011 paper in Chemical Communications on paper spray ionization of polar analytes using non-polar solvents, cited 102 times.[7]

National Science Foundation records show Li has received two grants at the University of New Hampshire totaling $1,599,708. The larger award, made on August 21, 2023, funded acquisition of an Orbitrap Eclipse Tribrid Mass Spectrometer at $1,179,143. A second award, made on May 4, 2022, supported the "Development and Characterization of femto Electrospray Ionization" project at $420,565.[8]

National Institutes of Health records list two projects titled "Prostaglandin and NMDA-Evoked C-Fos Expression" conducted at Duke University, totaling $61,092 in funding.[9]
